I just read all the Twilight books these past two weeks. Yeah, call me gay if you want, but they were ok. The target audience is still young adult girls but it had a decent story.
I saw the movie a few weeks ago and was interested enough to inspect the first book. I was impressed with Stephanie Meyer's work and went through the other three.
I will say that she uses the word chagrin WAY too many times. For a word that never comes up in common dialect of an 18 year old girl, she used it over thirty times at least.
To Mom and Angela: You should read the books, I bet you would enjoy them too.

Ya know, I have been wondering what all the hype was about too. Girls on FB (i know, your favorite place!!) have been making comments for months about the books. Thanks for the "screening". :)

By the way, I would KILL to have the time to read ONE book in two weeks; let alone two or three!!
I'm jealous. :)
Can we get a book to movie comparison?
I rented and watched the movie last night. The story was interesting, but I really liked the direction of photography and how well the music mixed and enhanced the visuals.
I do have one thing to say to the main vampire actor tho . . . "Get a freaking hair cut man" His hair was a character all on its own. In-fact I think his hair should branch out and do a couple solo sequels.
I think you're a gay little spidermonkey, but I thought that before you read the books.
